Mediabiz International’s Media-Max wins its first Canadian Screen Award for Best TV Movie for Magic Beyond Words : the JK Rowling Story
(Montréal) – March 1, 2013 – Mediabiz’s production division, Media-Max, is honored and proud to have won its first Canadian Screen Award for Best TV Movie for MAGIC BEYOND WORDS: THE JK ROWLING STORY. The production had garnered 4 nominations for best TV Movie, Best Direction, Best Performance by an Actress and Best Score.

MAGIC BEYOND WORDS: THE JK ROWLING STORY, directed by Paul A. Kaufman, is Media-Max’s first live-action television production and was broadcast by The Movie Network and Movie Central in Canada, Lifetime Networks in the US and sold in over 20 countries.
Media-Max’s upcoming slate of films includes the just completed MAINA, directed by Michel Poulette, the upcoming MIDNIGHT SUN, a Canada-Italy co-production set in the Arctic co-directed by Roger Spottiswoode (Tomorrow Never Dies, Shake Hands With The Devil) and Brando Quilici, OUTCAST, a China-Canada-France co-production to be shot in China later this year and directed by Nick Powell and DANCE OF THE MIRLITONS, directed by Evan Greenberg and to be co-produced with Academy Award-nominated producer Daniel Dubiecki (Up in the Air, Juno, Thank You For Smoking).
